By accessing or using BrainTeck (available at brainteck.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers — including those using the free tier without an account.
BrainTeck is an AI-powered flashcard generation platform. It allows users to generate, study, and export flashcard decks using large language models including Claude (by Anthropic) and ChatGPT (by OpenAI).
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.
You may use BrainTeck as a guest without creating an account, subject to the free tier limits. To access subscription features, you must create an account with a valid email address and password.
Your account data (email, password hash, and subscription status) is stored securely on our servers. Flashcard decks and study data are stored in your browser's local storage and are not uploaded to our servers.
BrainTeck offers the following plans:

Billing: Subscriptions are billed at the start of each billing period (monthly or yearly). Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through Stripe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
Refunds: We offer a full refund within 48 hours of your first subscription payment if you are unsatisfied. After 48 hours, all charges are final. Contact us at support@brainteck.app to request a refund.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

The BrainTeck name, logo, and interface design are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from them without written permission.
Flashcard content generated through the service is produced by third-party AI models. We make no claim of ownership over that content. You are free to use generated flashcards for personal study, education, and non-commercial purposes.
Content you provide as input (notes, topics) remains yours. By submitting content to generate flashcards, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of generating your requested output.
We collect minimal data to operate the service:
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. Topic inputs and notes you enter are sent to Anthropic (Claude) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) APIs for processing — subject to their respective privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the actions, content, or privacy practices of these third-party services.
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Always verify important study material against authoritative sources. BrainTeck is a study aid and should not be relied upon as the sole source of information for exams or professional use.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrainTeck and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
You may stop using BrainTeck and delete your account at any time by contacting support@brainteck.app. We will delete your account data within 30 days of your request.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the service. In the event of termination due to our discontinuation of the service, we will provide a pro-rated refund for any unused subscription period.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (e.g., via a notice on the app).
Continued use of BrainTeck after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
